Alexandra Maria Lara is a Romanian German film and TV actress best known for her performances in films like Downfall Youth Without Youth Control and Rush. As the sole child of Romanian actress Valentin Platareanu, Alexandra started her professional career in showbiz at a young age. She was a lead actress in TV dramas as young as the age of 16. The audience was impressed by her portrayal as a character in Der Tunnel. This paved the way for other unforgettable roles, including Adolf Hitler's Secretariat Traudl Junge. The Reader and Der Baader Meinhof Komplex are the other Oscar nominated films that feature models.
